Just a curious question, which models did you come across that had such QC problems? I used to own a few SZ series and those were good IMO.The Chibanez line is making improvements over the years. Must have been smoking something wrong.The biggest difference between MIJ and MIK is the neck (Wizard I and Wizard II respectively) and the Wizard II is a whole lot thicker compared to the Wizard I. From far they look pretty good no doubt about it.QC wise those Chibanez guitars are crap only because most of those come with crappy routing at the bridge area which makes tuning a big problem. Flip underneath and you will be disappointed.
